When I just graduated the University of Manchester, 2015, I got an opportunity for an internship in a digital marketing agency, 9Fruits Media&Company. At the moment, I thought digital marketing is more artistic work have nothing to do with features, data, and analysis. For me, marketing is all about brainstorming, making an artistic ad, planning an enormous campaign, and the best of all was a competitive presentation.
I still remember my first day at work. I thought I know marketing little but I found myself know nothing about digital marketing at all. They said about CTA, ROI, CPC which was totally strange to me. Furthermore, my work was about data analysis and apply it to produce better working contents for Facebook and Twitter. I was not good at dealing with data, so content I made was totally failed to get engagements, conversions, even views.
A few days later, I made up my mind to study "digital marketing". But I was stuck at how to study it? At the moment, my colleagues helped me a lot. They put me onto the articles and books I should read and gave me the list of sites that I can learn about digital marketing. However, it was not still enough for me. I would like to study fundamentals of digital marketing. I searched information about online digital marketing courses and I had few options to choose like Coursera, eduX and Udacity. Coursera and edux course is teaching digital marketing academically, but Udacity progrmme is about real word skills, tips and knowledge. Therefore I enrolled to Udacity digital marketing nano degree programme and my study is on going right now.
